Compton Unified School District serves the residents living in the southern region of Los Angelos county. With a mission to “empower leaders to lead, teachers to teach and students to learn”, Compton USD takes the responsibility to create environments for students and teachers that inspire and are innovative. With the belief that school has a tremendous impact on children’s lives, Compton USD aims to foster the development of healthy life habits alongside personal and academic growth.

Recently one of the elementary schools of Compton USD installed a new playground of the students, complete with a Turfscape artificial grass surface. Maximizing safe play for young students and natural, green aesthetics, the Turfscape playground proved to be the perfect solution for Compton. The synthetic grass system requires no watering throughout the year, but completely retains its soft feeling and lively coloring.
