STC Seminar 2019

Act Global, in collaboration with our sponsors, STC (Synthetic Turf Council), Ask JW, SynLawn, Schmitz Foam, US GreenTech, and Zeofill, hosted the very first STC Landscape Seminar. The seminar took place in Santa Ana, California from February 21 – 22, 2019.

The purpose of the seminar was to provide a healthy environment for learning and networking amongst the thirty attendees who joined in on the conversation. Wholesalers, landscapers, and infill companies from across the nation came together to better understand what it means to be a member of the STC. By the end of the seminar, the participants became better informed on how a membership with the STC would benefit their own business practices.

The STC encourages organizations to take part in their Certified Turf Installer-Landscape Program to promote industry-recognized best practices for landscape synthetic turf installation. According to their website, taking part in the program:

  • Demonstrates your commitment to the landscape synthetic turf industry profession
  • Separates yourself from the competition by leveraging and promoting STC Certification to your customers
  • Expands your skills and knowledge through continuing education
  • Receives national and local promotion through the online STC Certified Turf Installer-Landscape (CTI-L) Listing
  • Increases your bottom line through greater work efficiency

The seminar itself was highly praised by attendees. It is Act Global’s goal that we will be able to host two seminars a year in order to create a standard for the industry. This will ensure that every landscape turf installation is only of the highest quality.

Be sure to keep up to date on all of our turf projects and more by following us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
