Turfscape Tuesday: How to Maximize Your Yard Space

With the first day of summer quickly approaching, it’s time to begin preparations in maximizing your yard space! Get ready for some quality Turfscape tips!

To Meander or Not to Meander?

Everyone has yard spaces of different sizes, but

most have similar problems including pathways. A meandering pathway can seem much longer than one that is straight and can really make a difference in its perceived size. Having a meandering pathway can also soften awkward narrow spaces and help highlight the surrounding area.

Backdrops!

Give back to Mother Earth! Consider building a vertical wall garden or planting a slender tree or a climbing vine. This can really bring out the brilliance of your yard space, large or small and the environment will thank you!

Drainage Maintenance!

Don’t forget about proper drainage! This is especially important in a small landscape since it is easier to flood as opposed to larger yard spaces. Keep in mind any dips you may have that can easily fill from the rain!

Quality over quantity!

Splurge on quality and details. Take advantage of only having to purchase small amounts of material and go with the higher end items, like natural stone instead of poured concrete. Not only will it last longer, but it will add value to your home – a must!
