Keeping California Green with Turfscape

Southern California commercial complex chooses LRM, Ltd Landscape Architecture to design an outdoor space with synthetic grass for a maintenance free, green landscape.

Within the arid climate of the San Fernando Valley of southern California, Woodland Hills is known to experience some of the most extreme temperatures of the region.  The Los Angeles community faces both mild winters and hot, dry summers that can be damaging to landscapes and require significant amounts of water to maintain.

A plaza between two premier office buildings (the two tallest structures in Woodland Hills) chose to diminish its environmental impact by drastically reducing their water usage.  They accomplished this with their installation of high quality, natural looking artificial grass from Act Global.

We had the opportunity to team up with the distinguished LRM architects to design and install this outdoor space.  The 5,500 square foot project, complete with white stone pavers and native plants and trees, showcases the quality behind the designing expertise of LRM and the quality of Turfscape products.  The area features grey benches and chairs, fire pits, and numerous dining tables for people to sit out and enjoy the spot.

Charles Elliot, Partner of LRM, said Turfscape “Knocked this project out of the park” with the cooperative teamwork, attention to detail, and conscientious follow-up after the space was completed.

The installation went extremely well, with complete satisfaction of the property owner.
